These hard wearing rubber legs are for practicing the manipulation of the foot and proper application of plaster casts. There are 3 legs available, each depicting a different stage of the correction.
Stage 1 leg is an untreated clubfoot. The head of the talus is easily visible and felt.
Stage 2 leg is a partially correctly clubfoot. The head of the talus is less pronounced and the foot is ready to be abducted.
Stage 3 leg is a mostly corrected clubfoot. The head of the talus has disappeared, but more abduction is required.
The rubber leg available is the right leg model. The legs are available to purchase separately or as a set of 3. The rubber legs are supplied with wooden boards and hardware for ease of use.
Parents of infants born with clubfeet may be reassured that their baby, if otherwise normal, when treated by expert hands will have normal looking feet with normal function for all practical purposes. The well-treated clubfoot is no handicap and is fully compatible with a normal, active life.
